Audi working on electric car


The car manufacturer Audi will develop over the next few years a sporty electric car and has started for a development project. The Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (IESE), RWTH Aachen and the automotive supplier Bosch participate in the project. It's developed a new sporty electric car and Audi will contribute an electric system and electric components. EPerformanca The project is supported by the federal government based on the National Development Plan for Electric Mobility with 22 million €.


The scientists at the Fraunhofer Institute to help Audi while the security concept of the planned development of electric cars. It aims to create references for electric cars of the future by the Fraunhofer IESE. The car manufacturers accelerate the development of electric vehicles and are working together with energy suppliers. The Stuttgart automaker Daimler AG has joined forces with U.S. electric car manufacturer Tesla Motors. In the coming years, the electric cars are playing an increasingly important role and normal to see on the street scene. However, must be built before the break with infrastructures of power stations. The range has yet to significantly increased and the prices of electric vehicles will be reduced.
